The writer of this letter asks what the U.S. is doing for Ukraine. The answer is, a great deal, and more than any other nation on Earth. In the past year alone, America has given the Ukraine over a billion dollars in military and humanitarian aid, including over $600 million dollars in military equipment from our own stocks.

President Biden prepared brilliantly for the invasion, working behind the scenes with our allies to develop the sanctions that are now devastating Russia’s economy. Because of his quiet diplomacy, they were able to bring the sanctions immediately after Putin’s troops crossed the border.

The Russian stock market had to close to avoid a complete meltdown, and has never reopened. The value of Russian companies in European stock exchanges have fallen 98%.

We can only be thankful that Trump, (who praised Putin, tried to extort President Zelensky and alienated our allies) wasn’t in power when this happened.
