PITTSBURGH — A Butler man was sentenced Wednesday to prison time for embezzling from West View Savings Bank, according to a news release from acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song.

Keith A. Simpson, 60, was sentenced by Judge Cathy Bisson to six months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Simpson was indicted by a federal grand jury in February with embezzling $41,806.90 from the bank between 2014 and 2016, while serving as the bank’s chief accounting officer.

He was investigated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the federal Office of Inspector General.
