No one was injured when a tanker full of fracking water tipped over on Three Degree Road before noon on Thursday. Traffic was restricted for about two hours while the truck was removed.

ADAMS TWP — Township police and emergency personnel responded to reports of a tanker that had flipped onto its side Thursday on Three Degree Road.

Responders arrived at around noon to find a tanker carrying fracking water spilling its cargo onto the road.

Police contacted the Environmental Protection Agency, which told them that the water was not hazardous to the environment, responders said.

No one was injured in the accident and the tanker was the only vehicle involved.

Crews set about taking the tipped tanker away once another truck had taken what it could salvage from the scene.

Traffic on Three Degree Road was restricted for two hours.

No gasoline or hazardous materials were leaked during the accident, said police, only the fracking water.

Police said it appeared that the driver, who was not identified, overcorrected his steering just before the accident.
