We would like to thank all the people that were involved in our son Corey’s rescue Friday, Feb. 18. There were many that responded to my husband’s call.

Our son fell 20 feet from a tree stand when a strap broke. My husband remembers people from Unionville, Oakland Township, West Sunbury and Prospect, but if there were others, we thank you all for the quick response and your care of our son.

You all got him out of the woods and then into an ambulance (thank you drivers). He was to be flown from Butler airport by Lifeflight, but the weather didn’t permit that. So, thank you to the Lifeflight crew, who went down with Corey in the ambulance to Allegheny General. He broke his back.

He is in recovery after your great care and that of the staff of AGH ED, Trauma ICU and his wonderful neurosurgeon. Also for his care on the orthopedic (Floor 10) department. He is doing amazing, and it has only been a little over a week.

Thank you to all who prayed for him too. God was with him all the time.
