16 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths in county
Sixteen new cases of COVID-19 in the county were among the 1,257 new cases in the state Wednesday.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the new cases increase the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began to 11,020 and the state total to 1,190,102. About 28,440 of the cases in the state are among health care workers.
No new deaths were reported in the county, but the 54 new deaths across the state bring the total to 26,925.
There are 1,427 people hospitalized, including 320 in intensive care. The 14-day average number of people hospitalized per day is decreasing.
In licensed nursing and personal care homes, there are 71,498 cases among residents and 15,205 among employees. Of the deaths in the state, 13,230 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
The department also reported that 4,294,480 people are fully vaccinated and 1,643,875 people are partially vaccinated.
A total of 9,876,905 doses of vaccine have been administered, including 5,938,355 first and single doses and 3,938,550 second doses.
In the county, 76,800 people are fully vaccinated and 14,726 people are partially vaccinated.
