Butler man charged with not returning child
Police have charged a 26-year-old Butler man for allegedly defying a court order and not returning to the state with his son.
On March 5, Robert E. Lockskin left Pennsylvania with his 5-year-old son. Five days later, the child’s mother got a court order temporarily giving her full custody of the child.
According to police, efforts were made to get Lockskin to bring the child back, but Lockskin did not respond to the request. Butler City police Wednesday charged him with felony interference with the custody of a child.
A family member of Lockskin’s reported that he is in Guntersville, Ala., according to court documents, where his mother lives. Guntersville is in Marshall County. The family member reported to police that Lockskin planned to travel to Florida, where he has more family.
Butler City police officers were able to use Lockskin’s cellphone data to confirm that Lockskin was in Alabama.
