Giant Eagle has announced it will open one hour early three days a week for customers over 60, disabled or immune-compromised, starting Monday.

All Giant Eagle and Market District locations will open at 6 a.m. Monday through Wednesday so customers more vulnerable to the coronavirus feel comfortable shopping. The company says team members will not be checking IDs to confirm ages but ask that other customers respect the dedicated hour.

After the first hour, stores will return to current operating hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
