Karns City wins Colt title over East Butler

Zach Moore had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs and Reese Barger had three hits and three RBIs to power UAA of Karns City to a 14-2 victory over East Butler in Saturday’s Butler County Prep Colt championship game Saturday at Pullman Park.

The win gave Karns City its third consecutive title.

Matt Yough tossed a complete game, scattering seven hits.

Karns City led 3-2 entering the bottom of the fourth inning before tacking on three runs in the fourth and four runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to pull away.

Trevin Slater and Derek Oswald had two hits apiece for the Orioles.
