With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph “Joe” Wallace, of Butler, on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born in Butler on May 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Nick and Katherine Wallace.

Joe worked as a machinist for Cleveland Crane and Engineering and Hallstead Industries in Zelienople until his retirement. He was a member of All Saints Parish.

Joe loved visiting flea markets and garage sales, enjoyed talking with neighbors and was known for his quick wit and friendly personality. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. Joe lived a life defined by kindness, laughter and genuine love for people. He was a devoted husband and shared a lifetime of love with his wife. As a father he was a constant source of strength and wisdom. But most of all, his greatest joy was being a grandpa to his three grandchildren.

Joe was the beloved husband to his wife of 66 years, Frances “Fran” (Beblo) Wallace; loving father to his daughter, Sherri (Charles) Zagurskie; and a proud grandfather to Luke, Lacy and Leah Zagurskie. His family was the center of his life.

Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his four brothers, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Joe’s kindness, humor and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, stories he shared and the love he gave so freely.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice, along with the many neighbors and friends who provided such loving care and support.
