Bowser

Joseph “Joe” Bowser, 74, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026.

He was born in New Kensington on June 8, 1952, to Dorothy (Church) Bowser and the late Eugene Bowser.

Joe honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 to 1972. He received his Master of Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his electrical engineering degree from Penn State.

Joe was known for being extremely kind, had a good sense of humor and could definitely be stubborn at times. He enjoyed shooting, judo and taekwondo, in which he was a fifth-degree black belt, riding his Harley and driving his Corvette.

He was the father of Joshua (Valerie Maycock) Bowser; brother of Gary (Debbie Poxon) Bowser; grandfather of Andrew (Brianna) Bowser; and stepgrandfather of Elizabeth, Alex, Mya and Mason Maycock.

Along with his father, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Jason Bowser.

BOWSER — Family and friends of Joseph “Joe” Bowser, who died Friday, July 3, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. Full military honors and a closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.
