I am very upset that a working, productive member of our society has been held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for over 51 days now in detention for no apparent reason. He was a taxpayer and the sole support of his wife and 6-year-old daughter.

This Butler County woman pleaded with county commissioners, stating that her family has been destroyed.

This is not the country that I was born into 80 years ago. We have become a brutal, vindictive society that claims to be Christian but nothing can be further from the truth. Jesus taught us to welcome the stranger in our midst. He would not approve of any of this. It makes me so very sad.
