Sandra ‘Sandy’ Glover
With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Jewell) Glover, who passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 70.
Sandy was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Butler, daughter of the late Shirley (Cunningham) and Donald Jewell. She graduated from Butler Area High School in 1974 and went on to build a life centered around hard work, compassion, family and faith.
Sandy’s greatest joy in life was the birth, raising and unconditional love she poured into her daughter, Ashley. Ashley was not only her daughter, but also her very best friend. Their bond was built on unwavering love and the comfort of always knowing they had one another. Throughout her life, Sandy formed many close friendships with people who became like family to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Glover (Colin Thompson); her forever sister, Linda (James) Thompson; her husband and devoted cancer caregiver, James Raimondi; Ashley’s father, Edward Glover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Dorothy Cunningham, who selflessly raised both Sandy and her sister, Linda.
The family would also like to acknowledge the devoted care provided by Sandy’s medical team throughout her diagnosis and treatment. The Butler VNA, the AHN-Wexford medical, palliative care and hospice team of 5-North, who treated her with dignity, compassion and kindness until she entered eternal life.
