Lambing

Robert Dean Lambing, 88, of Sarver, died Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, in Natrona Heights.

He was born in Seward, Pa., on Dec. 19, 1937, son of the late Paul William and Elsie Miller Lambing.

Mr. Lambing worked as a mechanic for ALCOA for 29½ years at the ARL New Kensington and Merwin locations. He spent 10½ years serving his country during the Vietnam War era in the U.S. Navy, from 1956 to 1966. He worked on the flight deck of aircraft carriers as a member of the catapult and arresting team. He proudly served on the USS Lexington and the USS Ranger before being assigned to the naval air station in Lakehurst, N.J. He was also a social member of the VFW.

He enjoyed playing guitar and singing, making beautiful wood burning art and was an avid puzzle builder.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cynthia Lynn Trew Lambing; two sons, Paul William Lambing and Robert Dean Lambing Jr., both of Florida; two daughters, Dawn E. Lambing, of Canada, and Kerry Cooper, of Florida; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Lambing; brothers, Harold and William Lambing; infant brother, Donald; and sisters, Mildred Harnish and Kathryn Davidson.

LAMBING — Friends of Robert Dean Lambing, who died Sunday, May 24, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, at Alder Street, where parting prayers will be said at noon Friday, May 29.

A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Jenny Gordon at Bethel United Methodist Church, 150 Alder St., Lower Burrell.

Burial will follow with military honors in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
