My name is Fran Morrison, and I have been a Harrisville resident for 50 years.

I have to say in all these years, I’ve never been so ashamed of the council. To have a 64-year-old businesswoman and councilwoman be taken out of a council meeting in handcuffs is the most horrible, embarrassing action I’ve ever seen.

Maybe it doesn’t bother the council members, since it isn’t happening to them. This woman tries to help our town, even after a so-called mistake with her certificate, which is ridiculous. I want to say, GOD BLESS you, Mary Ann. You did the right thing, and people are proud of you for standing up for justice!
