PennDOT applying high friction surface treatment to county roads
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be applying high friction surface treatment to three roads in Butler County this month.
The roads are Route 108 between Interstate 79 and Slippery Rock, Route 308 at Mahood Road near West Sunbury and Route 528 by the Evans City Reservoir.
High friction surface treatment is aggregate applied to the surface of a road to help drivers maintain control in wet and slippery conditions.
Single-lane restrictions will take place during the application, which will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. Work is weather dependent.
