William “Mike” Seelnacht, 97, of Saxonburg passed away April 11, 2026, at his home.

Born Aug. 13, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Robert Seelnacht and Louise Sewald Seelnacht.

Mike served as a cook in the U.S. Army in Germany and later at Walter Reed Hospital.

Mike had worked for North Side Packing Company for 47 1/2 years. He also worked at Viola’s Market in the meat department and as a greeter at Walmart. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and a lifetime member of the Breakneck Beagle Club. He enjoyed raising and running his beagles, hunting deer and watching Westerns on TV.

Surviving are six daughters, Joyce (Bob) Dent of Claridge, Pa., Sandra (Gary) Steighner of Rimersburg, Barbara (Leo John) Cypher of Cabot, Sharon Juris of Pleasantville, Pa., Patricia (Artie) Snodgrass of Butler and Billie Jo (Adam) Edwards of Ford City; his brother, Raymond Seelnacht of Polk, Pa.; his sister, Dorothy Johnson of Verona; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Aurelia Tietz Seelnacht, who died Feb. 2, 2023; two sisters, Alice Melensky and Roberta Rock; his brother, James Seelnacht; and two half brothers, Richard Seelnacht and Robert Seelnacht.

SEELNACHT — Friends of William “Mike” Seelnacht, who died April 11, 2026, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Rev. Jack Hartman officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
