Children and families in the Butler Area School District turned out for the fifth annual Back-to-School SummerFest, held at Broad Street Elementary School on Friday, Aug. 15, and organized by Inspired Hearts and Hands.

The goal of SummerFest is to provide needed school supplies for families. Each student was provided with a pack of school clothes, a coat, a pair of athletic shoes, a hygiene kit, a backpack filled with school supplies, and a pack of new socks and underwear.

According to a news release from IHH, the event served over 370 families and 645 children.
