Butler County under tornado watch
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Butler County, as well as several other counties in Western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The tornado watch took effect at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, and expires at 8 p.m.
A tornado watch indicates that the conditions exist for a tornado to potentially form in an area. A tornado warning, on the other hand, indicates that a tornado has actually been spotted in the area and advises residents to take shelter immediately.
