Woman suffers minor injuries in Buffalo Township crash
BUFFALO TWP — One woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital following a two-car crash on Wednesday evening, July 31.
The accident took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Pike Road and Coal Hollow Road.
Citing an eyewitness, patrol officer Jacob Zepeda of the Buffalo Township Police Department said the crash may have occurred when one of the cars ran a red light.
“A witness that said he witnessed it is saying that one of the vehicles ran a red light and struck the other vehicle,” Zepeda said.
There were three occupants between the two cars. The injured occupant, the passenger in the car that was struck, complained of chest pains after the crash. Her husband was driving the car.
According to Zepeda, the driver of the other vehicle was on his way to work when the accident occurred and was the only occupant of that vehicle.
In addition to the Buffalo Township Police Department, the Sarver Volunteer Fire Company and Freeport EMS responded to the scene.
