Wolves of discontent

The mysterious death of Russian freedom fighter Alexei Navalny is another omen that the enemies of individual liberty and freedom are building momentum toward forging a global system of totalitarianism.

A divided America is a greatly wounded America. Our adversaries know we are wounded sheep that have lost their shepherd, and like hungry wolves are converging on their prey. Our understanding of the principles and values of our founders has become convoluted. Those founding edicts that empowered the people to choose how to live are so powerful and precious they led Americans to end slavery and fight world domination from despots and madmen.

Today’s America is torn asunder by corruption and moral ineptitude. We are so distracted by our own ambitions and self-contentment we’ve forgotten how much was given and sacrificed by those who came before us.

We were once a nation with buildings of worship on every corner, and we filled them every Saturday and Sunday. God taught us to find common ground and how to forgive. Instead we find ourselves in a perpetual state of confrontation. If we take the time to look away from our comfortable abodes, will we see the breath of wolves emerging from the cold air of discontent?
