Calvin Kinney Sr.
Calvin L. Kinney Sr., 90, of Portersville, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.
Born Dec. 23, 1933, in Atchison, Kan., he was the son of the late Alfred and Florence (Lentz) Kinney.
He honorably served our country in the Navy. He had a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Calvin was a proud member of the Community of Christ. He also was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed golfing. Above all else he loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his three sons, Calvin L. Kinney Jr. (Susan) of Two Rivers, Wis., Larry Kinney of Monroeville and Robert Kinney of Ellwood City; his grandchildren, Vanessa Durbin (Eric) and Jackie Micu (Aaron); his great-grandchildren, Alex and Donovin Marshall and Aria and Jace Durbin.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. (McCush) Kinney, whom he married on Feb. 20, 1955; and his four brothers.
KINNEY — Calvin L. Kinney Sr., who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
A committal service and military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at the chapel at Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.
