Rose Ellen “Roe” Goda, 89, of Cabot, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Sept. 9, 1934, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Rufft and Ellen Healy Rufft.

She worked as a registered nurse for the University of Pittsburgh Hospital system and later as a school nurse for South Butler County School District. She was a member of the Zion Methodist Community Church in Sarver. Roe was a Barnum & Bailey certified clown and volunteered for many community events.

Surviving are her loving sons, John M. (Amy) Goda of Bradenton, Fla., Matthew E. Goda of Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii and Stephen A. (Tammy) Goda of Pittsburgh; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John Goda Jr.; and three sisters.

GODA — Friends of Rose Ellen “Roe” Goda, who died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410. W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Seth McClymonds officiating.
