Olga Cochran, 95, of Butler, born May 14, 1928, celebrated her birthday in Heaven Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023.

Olga passed comfortably in her home, engulfed in the memories of her life lived there.

She was the daughter of Frank and Anne Walowen, born in Butler, where she was a lifetime resident.

Olga was proud of her parents who immigrated to this country from Europe. Her parents instilled the faith and love of God that carried throughout her lifetime. Devoted to faith and family, she was energetic, fierce and highly competitive in all she did.

When she worked, volunteered or was a homemaker, she strove to be the best. Olga had an eclectic nature, believing in the beauty and harmony of all things and people.

Her heavenly reunion with her family, adoring husband, Warren, and her three beautiful sons, Michael, Thomas and James, was without doubt spectacular. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, George, Walter, Victor and Frank Jr. Walowen; one sister, Mary Ann Zulick; numerous in-laws, nephews and nieces.

Olga is survived by her daughter, Debra Harff (Jim); daughter-in-law, Michele Cochran (Jim); sister, Nellie Kuzmenchuk; and nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by special friend, Tammy Voke (Paul), who visited her weekly, bringing her favorite magazines and feeding the birds for Olga.

Thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for their kindness and support in her final days.

THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Pittsburgh, handled the arrangements.

In lieu of memorial donations, when your child, spouse or anyone tells you they love you, tell them “I love you more.” Olga did this every day of her life; she truly meant it. It’s the way we all should be; this would be her memorial.
