Marian Geibel

Marian Geibel, formerly of Cabot, died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, in Washington state. Born Dec. 13, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Geibel.

Marian graduated from Knoch High School in 1971 and spent many years as a nanny to several families throughout the U.S. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with children. She spent the last part of her life near Mount Shasta, Calif., which she described as a very beautiful, peaceful place.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy (Dave) Matthews, Bettie (James) McCollough, Elsie (Blaine) Hemphill, Mary (Robert) Ortz, Millie (Richard) Leipertz and Delores (Charles) Seelbaugh; and brothers, Raymond Geibel, John Geibel and Robert Geibel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Albert (Terry Edwards) Geibel, Andrew Geibel, Donald (Janet) Geibel and Paul Geibel; and sisters Leona (Chuck) Hostetler and Esther Marburger.

The family would like to thank St. Francis Hospital in Washington for its care during Marian’s stay and the First Call Plus facility that helped the family with their guidance. Your care and commitment to people and families is greatly appreciated.
