Butler man accused of possessing 4 bricks of heroin
A Butler man was accused of possessing hundreds of bags of suspected heroin and various drug paraphernalia in his vehicle, according to Butler Township police.
Richard D. Wissinger, 33, was charged with felony drug sales, misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia and summary public drunkenness for an incident that occurred in February.
Police said they were dispatched to the parking lot behind the Five Below store for a male passed out in his vehicle Feb. 3.
The male later was identified as Wissinger, and officers said he appeared lethargic and impaired.
A plastic bag containing suspected heroin was found in Wissinger’s lap, and officers conducted a vehicle search for more paraphernalia.
Court documents indicate that the search yielded 324 empty stamp bags, 94 needles, four packs of cotton swabs, a spoon, 214 full stamp bags, or four bricks, of suspected heroin and two baggies of suspected loose heroin.
Wissinger’s preliminary hearing is scheduled July 13.
