Seneca Valley receives grant
Seneca Valley School District was one of 63 recipients of a state Department of Environmental Protection grant that awards projects addressing environmental justice, climate change and/or water quality.
DEP officials announced Wednesday that Seneca Valley received $3,000 for the fifth-grade environmental curriculum that will address the food chain, photosynthesis, the water cycle and sustainability concepts.
DEP awarded a total of $632,897 in environmental grant funds statewide.
Seneca Valley was the only school district in Butler County to receive funding.
