BROCKWAY — A number of Butler County area football players will be participating in the seventh annual Frank Varischetti All-Star Game July 1 at Brockway’s Varischetti Field.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Union/A-C Valley head coach Brad Dittman will be head coach of the South team, which includes players from Brookville, Central Clarion, DuBois, Karns City, Keystone, Moniteau, Punxsutawney, Redbank Valley and Union/A-C Valley.

Seniors from the Class of 2022 were nominated and selected by the District 9 head coaches. Karns City players are Mason McNany, Luke Garing, Zack Blair, Aaron Taylor, TJ Vlassich, Josh Griffiths and Nathan Lessner. Cooper Boozel of Moniteau is playing as well.

Andrew Verostek and Carter Terwint will be representing Union/A-C Valley in the game.

The North team will include players from Brockway, Bucktail, Cameron County, Elk County Catholic, Kane, Otto-Eldred, Port Allegany, Ridgway, St. Marys and Smethport. St. Marys head coach Chris Dworek will coach that squad.

Game sponsors will present $1,000 scholarships to several players before the game.

General admission tickets costing $5 for adults, $2 for students will be available at the gate.
