High school roundup

Track and Field

Union’s Hayden Smith and A-C Valley’s Baylee Blauser both broke a school record in Tuesday’s double-dual meet against Cranberry and Keystone.

Smith jumped six feet, seven inches to set a new boys high jump record for the Golden Knights. He had the previous standard at 6-6.

Blauser went 18 feet, 6¾ inches, breaking her own girls long jump mark for the Falcons.

Union and A-C Valley have combined forces in track and field this spring.

Butler’s offense had a fantastic day in a 14-8 home win over Greater Latrobe Thursday. The Golden Tornado recorded 13 knocks and both Colin Patterson and Mac Schnur belted a pair of homers.
