Patton, KC softball net shutout of A-C Valley

Marra Patton pitched a three-hitter and struck out nine Wednesday night as Karns City picked up its 10th girls softball win of the season, blanking Allegheny-Clarion Valley, 10-0.

Jayden Polczynski homered, singled and had four RBI while Ashley Fox tripled, doubled and had two RBI for the Gremlins. Jess Dunn doubled and singled, collecting three RBI.

Avah Burke and Lexi Bauer both doubled for A-C Valley.

Knoch 9, McKeesport 4 — The Knights built an eight-run lead, then doused a late rally by the Tigers in this win Tuesday.

Madi Gardner doubled, homered and scored three runs for Knoch (6-8, 4-5). Lindsay Edwards added three singles and a run batted in.

Track and Field

Luke Garing won the shot put and discus as Karns City’s boys earned an 89-20 victory over Moniteau in a meet shortened by weather Tuesday.

Moniteau’s Cody Daniels placed first in the 110 hurdles, high jump and long jump.
