BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Community College softball team improved to 10-4 on the season by sweeping a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend.

The Pioneers defeated CCAC 8-0 and 14-0 Saturday, then knocked off Penn Highlands 20-0 and 18-3 Sunday. Bailey Rickenbrode and Kristren Woolstrum picked up two wins each, Rickenbrode striking out eight in both of her games. Woolstrum fanned six against CCAC.

Lauren Hesidenz tallied eight hits, including a home run, and six RBI. Olivia Vissari homered and had six hits. Taylor Schultz contributed six hits while Rickenbrode had eight RBI. Marissa Melius tallied six hits and 10 RBI.

BC3 hosts Hagerstown (Md.) Sunday.
