Slippery Rock man charged with threatening security officer with rifle
A Slippery Rock man was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening an apartment building security officer with a rifle while he was trying to tow the defendant’s car.
Zaki Favian Ricardo Lindo, 19, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct by state police following the incident at his apartment in the Heights at Slippery Rock on Stillwater Lane.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, an apartment complex security officer was attempting to tow Lindo’s car for its lack of a parking pass when a verbal confrontation began between the two.
Lindo allegedly threatened to beat up the officer, returned to his apartment, reappeared outside, retrieved a rifle from his vehicle and said “just wait until I come back” while holding the rifle, according to the affidavit.
Multiple state police troopers, Slippery Rock police and Slippery Rock University police responded to the incident, police said.
In addition to the charges, Slippery Rock Land Holdings LLC, the apartment building owner, filed a civil lawsuit against Lindo on Friday for threatening an employee with a weapon.
The suit identifies Lindo as a Slippery Rock University student, and seeks an injunction prohibiting Lindo from entering any company property.
