Butler wrestlers Santino Sloboda and Diamond Cantera both placed seventh at the PJW Junior High State Wrestling Championships recently.

Cantera lost to the eventual champion and third-place finisher. Sloboda lost to the runner-up and third-place finisher. Sloboda won his final match while wrestling with a fractured elbow.

Butler’s Nick Savannah and Leo Iarrapino also qualified for the state tourney. Both won one match.
