Karns City Area School Board discussed using remote learning days for weather-related closures at its meeting Monday night.

Superintendent Eric Ritzert said during the work session that it was discussed that snow days should be a traditional day off. It was ultimately decided to make snow days remote learning days.

“I received some feedback from parents that they would rather not go remote when it's weather related,” Ritzert said. “There's always multiple opinions.”

The ultimate decision to make snow days remote learning days will keep the school calendar the same as it's published on the school district's website, Ritzert said.
