Mars hoops beats Taylor Allderdice
Mars improved to 3-0 on the season with a 63-45 win at Taylor Allderdice in girls basketball play Monday night.
Alexa McDole paced the effort with 24 points while Ava Black, Olivia Donnelly and Kaitlyn Pelaia each contributed 10 points.
The Planets open section play Thursday at Armstrong.

At Saturday's Prep/Villa Invitational in Erie, Slippery Rock's girls were led by several third-place finishes while placing fourth out of seven teams.Junior Grace Olshanski was third in the 100-yard freestyle (57.77 seconds) while freshmen Mollie Massella and Anne-Katherine Burns placed third in the butterfly (1:03.76) and breaststroke (1:11.14), respectively.In the boys event, freshman Cody Hartle was third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:17.47.
