Today is primary election day. County polling places open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. The Butler Eagle is extending its deadline to provide readers with more complete coverage. Voters will have the opportunity to vote to nominate candidates in their parties to run for election in the Nov. 3 general election. The positions in the primary include president of the United States, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Democratic and Republican national convention delegates, Republican committee members, state Senate and House of Representative and state offices including attorney general, auditor general and treasurer.
