In Brief
[naviga:h3]SV families donate athletic fees[/naviga:h3]
Nearly 20 Seneca Valley families recently donated their unused athletic fees to help the food service department cover $2,500 in meal debts for families in the community, according to a news release from the Seneca Valley School District.
While schools were closed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, the district began the process of refunding families for the annual pay-to-play fee of $125 per activity. Nineteen Seneca Valley families chose to donate their fees to the district’s food service department.
The donations alleviate the need to collect outstanding meal debts for students who will graduate this year. There is enough left over to help cover additional debts for students from other grades.
