Santino Sloboda took first place in the Area 7 State Qualifer wrestling tournament Sunday in Upper St. Clair.

He earned the top seed in the 12-under, 70-pound division at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling State Championships this weekend in Pittsburgh.

Sloboda also took first place in the 12-under/74-pound division at the PENNWAY Individual State Championship recently in California, Pa.

Brin Zehmisch took first place in the 12-under/70-pound bracket while Kimber Zehmisch will represent 12-under/75 pounds for Area 7. Both will compete at the PSW Girls State Championships this weekend in Pittsburgh.
