Just days after his rival was endorsed by the Butler County Republican Committee, Jesse James Vodvarka dropped out of the race for the U.S. House of Representative’s 17th District seat.

Vodvarka withdrew his bid after a legal challenge to his nomination petitions was made, according to reports.

The committee endorsed Vodvarka’s rival, Sean Parnell.

With no other candidates, Parnell is set to face incumbent Democrat Conor Lamb in November.
