Eastbound traffic on U.S. 422 was closed for several hours at the Jefferson Street exit to Bonniebrook Road on Tuesday after a tractor-trailer overturned.

Pennsylvania State Police said units were dispatched at 3:16 p.m. to the overturned tractor-trailer between the Jefferson Street on-ramp to the Mitchell Hill off-ramp.

Eastbound traffic on that section of Route 422 remained closed while the accident was cleared, and an unknown substance that was spilled on the road was cleaned.

It also was unknown if there were any injuries or if the tractor-trailer struck other vehicles.

Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Department and state troopers were on scene.
