State Rep. Marci Mustello is relocating her 11th District office from Lyndora to Butler effective Aug. 1.

“Accessibility is the biggest thing,” Mustello said. “We're in a more centralized location.”

Mustello announced Monday the move to 100 Barracks Road in Butler near to the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks.

The office's hours will remain the same, open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Mustello said she's been given estimates that say the office may be moved by Aug. 1. An open house has been scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 22.

“I am hosting this event to give you the opportunity to meet me and my district office staff, learn about the variety of services that we can provide and share any legislative concerns or suggestions you may have,” she said.

Mustello, a Republican from Butler Township, said the relocation is part of her ongoing effort to improve efficiencies while maintaining constituent service.

“Fulfilling my responsibilities as an effective and accessible state representative is my top priority,” Mustello said.

Services offered include driver's license and vehicle registration applications and renewals, assistance with PennDOT paperwork, PACE and PACENET applications, help with public assistance like Medicaid and food stamp applications, property tax and rent rebate applications, birth and death certificate applications, access to state tax forms and referrals to agencies to resolve state-related matters.

Mustello said those who visited former Rep. Brian Ellis' office will notice a difference between the new office and the old one, which was at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200, Lyndora.

“It's going to be a little bit bigger, so when people come in, there'll be private rooms,” Mustello said.

The new office will not be as pedestrian friendly, lacking a sidewalk that leads to the building.

Mustello said she is working with the Butler Transit Authority to have the office added to one of the routes.

“They can always call our office, and we can do house calls,” Mustello said. “We'll make every effort to get to them.”
