A motorcyclist has died of injuries she suffered in a three-vehicle crash last week in Butler.

Roshelle R. Davenport, 50, of Butler was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was taken following the July 3 wreck, Butler police said,

Davenport's body was later transferred to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. No one at the office was available for comment Monday. It was not known if there would be an autopsy.

Authorities said Davenport was not wearing a helmet around 7 p.m. when the motorcycle she was driving collided with at least one of the other vehicles, a sport utility vehicle, on West Cunningham Street near West Jefferson Street.

Police are investigating, but they did not provide details about the crash, citing the ongoing investigation Monday. The Butler City Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Davenport was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital, where she remained in critical condition for days before it was decided to end life support, according to her daughter, Tanni Milligan.

Milligan said ending life support was the toughest decision that she or her siblings ever made.

Davenport was a mother of four children, including Matthew Gibson, Dan Gibson, Milligan and Shannon Burke. She was also a grandmother of six.

“She loved us all, and she would be there for us, no matter what,” Milligan said.

Milligan said her mother loved riding her Harley- Davidson. She said it was a recent hobby rooted in a deep, lifelong love of the machines.

“She just picked it up a couple years ago, but she's always loved motorcycles,” Milligan said.

Milligan said her mother will be remembered by her friends and many others for her direct style of communicating. She said her mother told it like it was.

“She had no filter,” Milligan said. “It is what it is, whether you like it or not.”

Milligan said due to a lack of life insurance policy, the family needs help with funeral expenses. The family has a fundraiser set up through Facebook Fundraisers.

She said the funeral will be held privately.
