Between 200 and 300 people attended the Harmony Fire District's fourth annual open house Thursday night.

“The kids can talk to some of the guys and see the trucks,” George said.

The event featured face painting and other child-friendly activities. The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company brought several of their public demonstration tools, including a fire extinguisher simulation. Participants got a change to put out a propane-fueled fire using an extinguisher.

“We love it,” George said. “We like to open our doors up to the community.”
