A Venango County teenager remains in Mercer County Jail after Grove City police said they caught him with marijuana and child pornography earlier this month.

According to Grove City police, the victim's mother came to the police department on June 14 and said her 13-year-old daughter exchanged nude photographs with Patrick L. Lindsay, 18, of Irwin Township. The mother told police her daughter sent nude photos to Lindsay and, in turn, Lindsay sent photos of himself back to her daughter.

The mother then told police about her daughter's intention to meet Lindsay that evening at a fountain in Grove City's Memorial Park. Lindsay, according to police, told the girl he would bring weed for them to smoke.

In the evening, Lindsay arrived at the park, and was intercepted by authorities. Lindsay allegedly admitted to investigators that he was there to meet with the girl, but told them he believed she was 16 years old.

Lindsay also handed over the weed and drug paraphernalia, according to the police report.

Police allege Lindsay admitted to exchanging nude photographs with the girl through text messages and the photo-sharing application Snapchat. Police said they found 19 nude photos and some videos of the 13-year-old on his cell phone after Lindsay signed a form allowing investigators to search it.

Lindsay made his initial appearance in a Mercer County court on June 18. He faces 19 counts of child pornography, one count of possession with intent to deliver, corruption of minors, a small amount of marijuana for personal use, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. His formal arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 27.

Lindsay is represented by public defender. He is still being held on $10,000 bond, which was reduced from the $50,000 bond set at the time of his arrest, because he has been unable to post bail, according to court documents.
