SW Pa. United Way gets new CEO
The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania has a new CEO.
The board of directors unanimously chose Bobbi Watt Geer as president and CEO of the organization, which covers Butler, Allegheny, Westmoreland, Fayette, and southern Armstrong counties.
Watt Geer is currently the senior vice president of administration at the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
She formerly served as the president and CEO of the United Way of Westmoreland County and spearheaded the merger with Butler and the other counties that now comprise the organization.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the organization I believe in so deeply,” Watt Geer said.
She replaces Bob Nelkin, who will retire at the end of the month.
Amy Franz remains the director of the Butler County region.
