UPMC Passavant names president

Susan Hoolahan

CRANBERRY TWP — A new president for UPMC’s branch in the township has been named.

Susan Hoolahan will take over as president of UPMC Passavant effective Feb. 1.

Hoolahan began her career at UPMC in 1981 as a staff nurse at UPMC Shadyside, progressing through increasingly responsible leadership positions.

Most recently, she served as chief nursing officer and vice president of operations and patient care services at UPMC Passavant.

“Throughout her career in health care, Susan has been a longtime instrumental leader — fully committed to patient-centered care and providing an outstanding experience for our patients and staff,” said Leslie Davis, senior vice president, UPMC, and executive vice president and chief operating officer, UPMC Health Services Division.

Hoolahan succeeds David Martin, who as senior vice president, UPMC Health Services Division, and market president of UPMC’s Central Region, now oversees UPMC’s growth and expansion across central Pennsylvania.

In addition to the campus on St. Francis Way in Cranberry Township, there is another UPMC Passavant location on Babcock Boulevard in McCandless.
