Chamber elects officers, board members
The Butler County Chamber of Commerce has a slate of elected officers and board of directors members to serve this year.
Newly elected directors serving two-year terms include Audrianna Bly of Springhill Suites by Marriott Butler Centre City, Maria Thomas of the County of Butler and Neal Jackson of WesBanco Bank.
Thomas Genevro of Butler Health System is board chairman; Christopher Cole of Slippery Rock University is incoming chairman; Keith Graham of the Butler Eagle is first vice chairman; and Janine Kennedy of Alliance for Nonprofit Resources is second vice chairman. T.J. McCance of Hefren-Tillotson is the board treasurer.
The chamber recognized departing treasurer Dan Swartz of WesBanco Bank for nine years of service and Elisabeth Howard-Sommers of C.W. Howard Insurance Agency, who served as chairman and two terms as immediate past chairman.
Bly is manager of the Springhill Suites. Board member Kenny Bonus is the principal of Bonus Accounting LLC. Immediate Past Chair Karen Brackett is vice president of preferred corporate services at NexTier Bank. Cole is director of auxiliary services and academic and student affairs at Slippery Rock. Board member Scott Covert is the training coordinator at Penn United Technologies. Genevro is the chief human resources officer and vice president of support services at Butler Health System, where he has been employed since 2008. Board member Jordan Grady is project coordinator for the Alliance for Nonprofit Resources, where he has worked since August 2017. Graham is the vice president of advertising and marketing for The Butler Eagle. Board member Kyle Hilfiger is the branch manager for Farmers National Bank of Emlenton at the Bon Aire office in Butler.
Board member Neal Jackson is a vice president and business development officer at WesBanco Bank in Zelienople. Kennedy is the director of programs for the Alliance for Nonprofit Resources. Board member Brittany Kerchersky is the assistant vice president, manager of human resources organizational development at The Farmers National Bank. McCance is an associate vice president and financial adviser with Hefren-Tillotson. Board member Brian Opitz is the executive director of operations president’s cabinet member at Butler County Community College. Board member Nancy Reader has owned Hearth & Home Furnishings since 1983.
Board member Joe Saeler is the executive director and manager of operations at the Community Development Corporation of Butler County. Scott Sukits is a senior associate and LEED accredited engineer at Stantec. Board member Maria Malloy is the administrative assistant to Butler County Commissioners Leslie Osche and Kimberly Geyer. Board member Renee Uram is the office manager for Armstrong in Butler. Board member Lara Wozniak is the vice president of preferred corporate services at NexTier Bank.
