MARSHALL TWP, Allegheny County — The public is invited to meet three Tuskegee Airmen and the commandant of cadets for the U.S. Air Force Academy from 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh — Cranberry, 910 Sheraton Drive, Mars.

George Hardy, Charles McGee and Eugene J. Richardson Jr. of the Tuskegee Airmen will be there, as well as Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin, academy commandant.

The event is free, but donations are accepted. Proceeds will benefit the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial in Sewickley and the Duquesne University Military Psychological Clinic.

[naviga:h3]Valencia Road adding 2 stop signs[/naviga:h3]

FORWARD TWP — Two new stop signs will be placed on Valencia Road at the intersection of West Road.

The state Department of Transportation is cautioning motorists to be aware of the signs, which will be placed at the intersection Dec. 27.

PennDOT spokesman Deborah Casadei said the signs are being added due to safety concerns at the knoll where West Road intersects with Valencia Road.

The existing stop sign on West Road will remain, meaning the new intersection will have a three-way stop.
