Woman accused of threatening official

CRANBERRY TWP — Township police have charged a township woman with terroristic threats, after she allegedly threatened an elementary school principal.

Jaquaia Brown, 31, of Cranberry was charged with making terroristic threats this month at Haine Elementary School.

Police said that Brown at about 11:50 a.m. on Dec. 1 showed up at the school to pick up her young child. Brown got the child and returned to her vehicle. However, police said, she subsequently returned to the building, leaving the child in the car.

Brown eventually returned to the vehicle again and this time left. But while driving away, according to a police report, she called the school on her cell phone and told a secretary that the principal “was dead.”

Police did not know why Brown made the alleged statement, but they noted that she has had ongoing issues with the school.

Brown also is charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and leaving a child unattended in a vehicle.
