ZELIENOPLE — The first Christmas in the Park celebration will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the Zelienople Community Park.

It will run in concert with Miracle on Main Street on Thursday.

“It’s been a lot of fun and I think the residents are going to enjoy it,” said Laurie Berie, park manager. “We’re very excited.”

Christmas in the Park will feature tractor pulled-wagon rides, live music, horses, refreshments and more.

The park will be accepting donations to benefit the Ready Yourselves Youth Ranch, a nonprofit, Christian ministry that connects horses in need of rescue with children.

“They are supplying the horses for the event,” Berie said.

This is the first year the park is putting on the event and preparations have been ongoing for many months.

“We’ve been collecting decorations throughout the year,” said Berie.
