A Butler man charged alongside two others with assaulting and robbing a woman was released on time served Thursday.

Anthony F. Perez, 41, was sentenced to time served to 18 months in Butler County Prison, given credit for 158 days of time served and immediate paroled by Judge Timothy McCune. He was also ordered to pay restitution, a $100 fine and court costs.

Perez pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault on Nov. 8.

He was initially charged with felony conspiracy to aggravated assault following an incident on June 26 in Butler. The simple assault charge was later added and the felony charge was dismissed as part of the plea.

Perez was charged alongside two women, Tiffany A. Crawford, 31, and Michelle L. Kaiser, 46, after the alleged assault of a 28-year-old woman on East Wayne Street.

Butler City police say the three lured the woman to an East Wayne Street apartment and robbed her while Crawford held a machete to her throat.

The woman ended up at Butler Memorial Hospital with cuts to her neck and hand, and other injuries. She also had more than $200 stolen out of her bra, police said.

Perez, Crawford and Kaiser allegedly fled the home and drove off in a pickup truck. but officers stopped the vehicle shortly thereafter, as part of an ongoing and unrelated burglary investigation.

During that stop a machete was found in the vehicle and was later tied to the robbery.

Both Kaiser and Perez were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and Kaiser was also charged with criminal use of a communication facility.

Crawford was charged with felony robbery, aggravated assault and related charges.

Both she and Kaiser await further court proceedings.
